If you’ve never walked into a cannabis dispensary before, you might feel a little uncertain about what to expect. That’s completely normal — and it’s exactly why Ignited Culture exists. We’re not just a store. We’re a team of knowledgeable, approachable people who genuinely love helping customers find what they’re looking for, especially if it’s their first time.

What to Expect When You Walk In

At Ignited Culture, you’ll be greeted by a budtender who will ask to see your ID (you must be 21+ to enter). From there, it’s a conversation — not a transaction. We want to understand what you’re looking for before we make any recommendations. There’s no pressure, no judgment, and no rush.

Questions We’ll Ask You

Our budtenders are trained to ask the right questions to help you find the right product. Expect questions like:

• Have you used cannabis before? If so, what was your experience like?
• What are you hoping to feel — relaxed, creative, sleepy, pain-free, or something else?
• Do you have any preferences about how you consume it (smoking, vaping, eating, etc.)?
• Are there any concerns you have — anxiety, sensitivity to THC, or health considerations?

Your answers help us narrow down the options from dozens of products to the two or three that are most likely to give you the experience you’re looking for.

First-Timer Recommendations

For most first-time cannabis consumers, we recommend starting low and going slow. That means:

• Low THC — Start with products in the 5–15% THC range rather than jumping straight to high-potency options.
• CBD present — Products with some CBD alongside the THC tend to produce a more balanced, manageable experience.
• Edibles: start at 2.5–5mg — Edibles are the most common source of overconsumption for new users because of the delayed onset. Start very low and wait at least 2 hours before taking more.
• Flower or vape: one puff, wait 10 minutes — You can always take more; you can’t take less.

You Don’t Have to Know Anything to Walk In

One of the most common things first-time visitors say is “I don’t even know what to ask.” That’s perfectly fine. You don’t need to know the difference between indica and sativa, or what terpenes are, or what a pre-roll is. Just tell us what you’re hoping to feel, and we’ll take it from there.
